Healthy Superfoods – 9 Of The Best To Support Your Health

Following You Will Find A List Of 9 Healthy Superfoods That You Want To Eat As Often As Possible

Okay, obviously, today we do not deal with Internet Marketing topics but with an important topic on healthy living with healthy Superfoods.

Superfoods are naturally and organically produced whole foods, that have many positive properties to keep you healthy and your body functioning in a perfect manner.

There are – of course – far more superfoods than the few I will be listing here, and the more superfoods you integrate into your diet, the better it is for your long-term health.

Some superfoods may already be part of your diet, and of some you may not have heart yet.

Superfoods do not need to taste great in order to be superfoods, they do not have to be exotic or expensive, and – self-evidently – superfoods are just one piece of the puzzle of overall and wholistic health.

Concerning superfoods one thing is important to keep in mind, and this is:

In order to really benefit from superfoods you should try to eat as many as you can and in relevant quantities.

Let’s get started with my little list of nine superfoods:

1. Green Foods Are Healthy Superfoods

Green foods are wild plants (like dandelion, stinging nettle, etc.), grasses (like barley grass, spelt grass, etc.), moringa oleifera, algae (spirulina, chlorella, AFA), herbs (like parsley, basil, melissa, etc.) and of course leafy greens (like all types of salads, spinach, celery leaves, etc.).

Green foods are especially healthy because of their secondary plant substances, vital substances, proteins, omega-3-fatty acids, chlorophyll, vitamins, minerals and trace minerals.

It also contains calcium, magnesium, iron and folic acids in relevant quantities and easily absorbable for the human body.

A big salad or a green smoothie daily are great ways to support your health.

2. Crucifers (Cabbage Family)

Part of the crucifers are all kinds of cabbage, like kale, white cabbage, sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, red cabbage, but also rucola, mustard, radish, radishes and horse radish.

Crucifers contain many secondary plant substances and vital substances as well, but also glucosinolates which transform through the digestive process into anti-inflammatory and cancer adverse substances, like e.g. sulforaphane.

3. Healthy Superfoods: Sauerkraut

Sauerkraut is shaved white cabbage who lay in salty water for a couple of weeks.

This process is called fermentation.

Fermented foods deliver the healthy probiotic cultures, which are very good for the digestive system, especially for the colon.

So Sauerkraut delivers the advantages of the crucifers (see 2. Superfood in this list) and of fermented foods.

Important to mention is, that the Sauerkraut should be eaten raw, because if you cook it, it will loose most of its extremely healthy properties.

4. Is Celery A Healthy Superfoods?

Important to mention is that I am talking about the green stuff of the celery, which grows above the earth and not the root.

Celery is rich in pottasium,  sodium and sulfur, three important minerals for the human body, and also vitamins A,B and C.

The water contained within the celery is also very good for you.

5. Cucumber

First of all, cucumber is a fruit and not a vegetable.

It contains calcium, magnesium, sulfur and also vitamin E and C, and the cucumber skin is rich in silica, minerals and enzymes.

Cucumber also flushes the kidneys and the bowels, and helps to keep your digestive tract healthy; so eat a lot of cucumber.

6. Berries Are Healthy Superfoods

When I write about berries here, I mean the following types: Raspberries, blackberries, black and red currant, gooseberries, blueberries, and also the less popular chokeberries, goji berries and acai berries.

The huge advantage of these berries is that they have been hardly cultivated over the last thousands of years, so they still have all their natural and healthy properties, especially huge amounts of antioxidants.

Whenever you see berries somewhere, try to get a good portion of them.

7. Papaya

Papayas have lot of natural enzymes, anti-tumor and anti-cancer properties, are good against parasites, help to regenerate your liver, beautify your skin and are good against arteriosclerosis, strokes and heart attacks.

Really good stuff, the papaya.

Best to eat with a fresh lime or lemon squeezed above it.

Also eat the seeds, if you like, they taste a bit like pepper and are especially good against all kind of parasites.

8. Pumpkin Seeds Are Healthy Superfoods

Pumpkin seeds are especially healthy because they deliver more zinc than any other plant foodstuff, and relevant quantities of magnesium.

They are often recommended due to their healthy properties on the urinary passage, the bladder and the prostate.

9. Shiitake Mushroom

The shiitake mushroom originates in forests of China and Japan where he is used for his healing properties since over 2000 years.

The shiitake mushroom is especially famous for its cancer adverse properties, but also many other diseases.

The shiitake mushroom delivers – besides other vital substances – high quality proteins with all essential amino acids, relevant amounts of copper, which is good for your blood, the fascia and the nervous system and relevant amounts of vitamin B2, B3, B5 and B6, which is good for your metabolism and – once again – for your neural system.

In Closing

Here we go.

This is my little list of superfoods, and if you want to dive deeper into the subject, I am pretty sure you will find great resources on the internet and/or in books.

I think eating the right stuff can really have a boost on your health, so superfoods might be worth considering.
